Dad Brad Kearns with his sons, two-year-old Knox and six-weeks-old Finn.
If there's anybody, anybody at all out there who think's a mother's life is easy, this is for you. "Sit back, relax, grab a drink, some popcorn, clear your schedule and hold onto your bootlaces because I'm about to take you on a ride that could only be likened to a backwards 100mph roller coaster that takes you through waterfalls of vomit, shit and lots of tears" - that's how dad of two Brad Kearns begins to describe, in excruciating detail, the day he had to be mom to his sons, two-year-old Knox and six-weeks-old Finn.
In a Facebook post going viral, the Australian dad pens his ordeal, which started when his wife Sarah had to be admitted in hospital with liver failure. That's when the 'DaDMuM', as he describes himself, had to get home early and care for his infant kids. This includes entertaining them, feeding them, putting them to sleep and even comforting them when they howled "as if I've thrown him at a wall by his legs!" Phew.
The post describes Mr Kearns struggling throughout that night and the day that followed. Read the DaDMuM's post in its entirety below:
And guess what? That's was just day one. Mr Kearns shared another post describing Day Two of him being mum to his kids. Take a look below:
Husbands/kids, this may be a good reminder for you to go give your wives/mums a big grateful hug.
