Surveillance footage from a busy street in China captured what must be every parent's worst nightmare.
It shows a toddler driving his toy car onto the road, right in the middle of rush hour traffic. Luckily for him, a vigilant traffic officer stepped in handily to save him from a situation that could have ended in tragedy.
The gasp-inducing video, captured in Lishui, Zhejiang Province, shows the child narrowly missing oncoming vehicles several times. People can be seeing veering away so as not to hit the little boy. It's only after many scary moments that the traffic policeman steps in to rescue the child.
According to Shanghaiist.com, officer Wu Feng was on his way to work when he spotted the boy and rushed to help him.
"It was very dangerous with many big vehicles around him, so without a second thought I rushed to the kid immediately and took him to the side of the road," he told ABC.net.au.
The video makes for a frightening watch, especially if one thinks about what could have happened if Mr Feng hadn't stepped in. Take a look.
