Indian Stuntman Pulls Bus with His Hair to Set Guinness World Record

Kapil Gehlot dragged the massive bus in Jodhpur, Rajasthan using just ropes that were tied to his long locks.

An Indian stuntman is set to enter the Guinness Book of World Records after pulling a 11000lb bus for 120 meters while on roller skates - using just his hair.

Kapil Gehlot dragged the massive bus in Jodhpur, Rajasthan using just ropes that were tied to his long locks. The 28-year-old adventure sports enthusiast and skating coach is now hoping to grab a place in the Guinness World Records for 'the heaviest vehicle pulled by hair'.

Gehlot, who has always been interested in bizarre sports, said he has to take special care of his hair, regularly applying oil to make it stronger so he can perform the such stunts.

"I had to grow them long. It took a long time to make my hair strong enough to do this. This also scared me at times but I wanted to fight this fear," he said.

"I am always delighted when I get another record and being featured in the book never gets old for me. I have absolute faith in my abilities and I've always been interested in the unusual talent," he added.

Gehlot's daredevil stunts have made him an 'action hero' with fans from across India travelling to witness his performance.

Ajay Bhat, 25, who was present at the event with his friends said he was amazed to see Kapil 'didn't rip his hair off'. "I thought this is going to be a failed attempt but then the moment Kapil pulled it off, I became his fan. I still can't believe what I saw," he said.

Kapil was challenged by his friends to take on his latest exploits after conquering the record for pulling the heaviest weight with his hair. He had previously managed to pull a car weighing more than 1600lb for 61 meters.

The performer has also achieved the record for playing the longest outdoor inline skating hockey match in England and thirty hours of nonstop speed skating.

He now aims to break his own record once again. "I was always way ahead of the children of my age when we used to play together. I realized later that I was born to do these bizarre stunts. This is where my potential lies," he said, adding "I hope Guinness approves my new record soon and gives me a place in the book."
