It's not unusual to chance upon videos, stories, or opinions that describe all the things that are wrong with our country, even though there's lots that we can be proud of.
So as a prelude to India's 69th Independence Day, a YouTube channel went out onto the streets to ask both Indians and foreigners what they think makes India 'perfect.' There's a whole range of answers, some are nothing short of brilliant.
The video throws light on some of the best things this country has to offer - the helpful people, the convergence of different cultures and religions, and even the incredible food.
"Nothing is perfect... not USA, not any other country," says one gentleman. "It's we who'll make it perfect."
What's most heartwarming about the video is what those who aren't Indian have to say about India.
