It looks like the Internet's still not quite done with
Arshad Khan, Islamabad's blue-eyed
chaiwalla who made such a splash on social media. After landing himself a
modelling job,
undergoing a makeover on a Pakistani show, and even having the
Shah Rukh Khan comment about him thanks to social media's collective gushing, Arshad, 18, just featured in a music video.
Titled (what else?) 'Chaiwala,' the song by rapper Lil Mafia Mundeer not only features Arshad, it's also about him. However, this 'most anticipated video of the year' (as the makers call it) leaves us rather outraged.
"
Meri sun, apni na suna. Jaake ek cup chai bana" - this may just be the least unpleasant of the offensive lyrics in the song. We're not exaggerating, there are uncalled for lines on women, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in it.
But most of all, we're wondering why Arshad even decided to be a part of this video.
"What a stupid a*# song...
chaiwala looks handsome as always but the song is the worst song of the year," says one commenter on YouTube. "I became deaf after hearing this song," says another.
However, here's one commenter who really explains what's so wrong with the video: "Somehow this feels wrong. They are making fun of the poor guy and he doesn't even realize it. I even feel this song came out of jealousy. So what if his luck struck with a coincidence unlike for these struggling rappers! These guys are now milking his fame for their own. We should let the guy be and let him enjoy his celeb life."
There are still some who think it is a nice track, though.
