A woman succumbed to her burns at a Kozhikode hospital on Wednesday. This takes the toll in the Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) tanker mishap near Kannur to three, police said.
Fifty-year-old Nirmala, who was undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, died on Wednesday morning, sources said. Two people have died of burns on Tuesday.
A total of 35 people were injured when the tanker lorry overturned and exploded after hitting a divider on the road at Chala on Monday night. Among the injured, the condition of 12 continues to be critical, police said.
Six houses, 15 shops and few vehicles were gutted in the explosion and the huge fire that followed.
