Mumbai:
It was an emotional moment for Sarobjit Singh, son of NCSC Chairman Buta Singh, when a lady lawyer walked up to him in the court and tied a 'rakhi' on behalf of his sister.
Singh, who has been arrested by CBI on charges of bribery, was produced before the special CBI judge as his custodial remand was to expire on Wednesday.
As soon as he entered the court, a lady lawyer, who refused to be named, tied a green colour rakhi on Singh alias Sweety on behalf of his sister Harwinder Kaur.
Sarobjit Singh was arrested by the CBI on July 31 for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs one crore from Nashik-based contractor Ramarao Patil against whom cases are pending before the Commission.
