The Internet has something new to obsess over - a captivating picture of a baby weasel piggybacking on a woodpecker. First thing first, the weasel is brown and the woodpecker is green. Social media, for once, has reached an agreement on colour - no debate here, unlike #TheDress.
Can we all at least agree that the weasel is definitely brown? "@Jayward7: ABSOLUTLEY INCREDIBLE photo. pic.twitter.com/0tXkIisroQ"

Or at least they 'prefer' to believe this.

Sorry to interrupt and spoil your train of magical woodland thoughts but it's NOT a tale of two besties. It's a real-life example of the phrase 'the survival of the fittest' and it's not pretty. Weasel is trying to eat woodpecker.
The woodpecker takes the battle for survival to new heights as it soars into the air with the baby weasel on its back. This incredible sight was captured by photographer Martin Le-May in Esssex, England, on Monday.
"Just after I switched from my binoculars to my camera the bird flew across us and slightly in our direction; suddenly it was obvious it had a small mammal on its back and this was a struggle for life," Le-May told ITV.com.
Thankfully, all ended well for the woodpecker. It escaped and flew away alive after safely offloading the hungry weasel on terra firma.
