This is probably what David vs Goliath looked like, except this Goliath is armed with a camera. Linda, mother of three-year-old Mateo, taped an argument with the tiny tyrant who demanded cupcakes of her and just wouldn't take no for an answer.
"Linda, listen, listen, listen. Listen, Linda," insists the cupcake Nazi, face scrunched in frustration. Whatever happened to 'mommy'?
It doesn't work. "I said no cupcakes," says his mother.
"Linda, honey, listen," says Mateo, who's clearly overheard his dad pleading with his mom one too many times. It still doesn't work. "I'm done arguing with you," says the long-suffering Linda.
However, there is a happy ending to Mateo's cupcake quest. TV host Ellen DeGeneres invited him and his mother to The Ellen Show and wheeled out a superhero-festooned trolley loaded with the longed-for cupcakes. For mommy, there was a well-deserved spa voucher and a cheque for $10,000 for the family. That's what we call sweet.
