Leonard Nimoy, the actor who played Mr Spock in the cult sci-fi series Star Trek, died yesterday at the age of 83. Mr Nimoy wore many hats - actor, director, photographer, singer and poet - and commanded a fan-following as loyal as it is large. Tributes for the legendary actor, who played the half-human and half-Vulcan starship Enterprise officer of finger-splitting salute fame, have been pouring in on social media.
