The cheeky dating profile for Spruce has been made by his carer Sarah Everett
New Delhi:
Spruce is an athletic male, a swimmer and an adventurer. He is also a one-year-old Humboldt penguin looking for love.
Resident of the Weymouth Sea Life adventure park in UK, Spruce dived into the competitive world of online dating with a profile on website 'Plenty of Fish' to find a prospective life partner. His profile describes him as a "single penguin looking for chicks".
Spruce lives with 13 other penguins in the sea park but sadly couldn't find a partner as all the females already have partners. A 'family man at heart', Spruce is actively seeking his lady love who would be willing to relocate to Weymouth sea park and have little 'chicks'.
At 1, he is a little young to be thinking about settling down but his profile says he wants to be part of the breeding programme as soon as he's ready. There are only 10,000 pairs of Humboldt penguins left in the wild.
The cheeky dating profile has been made by his carer Sarah Everett who hopes other penguin carers around the world will spot it.
"It would be nice for Spruce to have another single penguin to spend his time with, rather than his keepers," she told Dorset Echo. She further said, "I really want to see Spruce settle down with the right girl and after searches for potential mates at other Sea Life centres proved fruitless I thought it was time to look further afield".
The website was happy to help Spruce in his search for love. In fact, Spruce is not the only penguin on the dating website. Another penguin from the park, named Sequoia, is also looking for a lifelong mate.
Spruce is single and ready to mingle. Do you have anyone in mind?
