Uninvited visitors hardly ever make for good company, especially when said guest just happens to be a carnivorous reptile.
A family of five in Madhya Pradesh's Neemuch district got the shock of their lives when they woke up to find a crocodile in their house.
The reptile, about six feet long, had reached the village with the overflowing water from the Morwan Dam. It entered the house in the dead of night and stayed over in one of the four rooms until Rajaram Regar spotted the crocodile at around 3 am. Fortunately, no one from the family was in that room.
Soon, other village residents collected around the house and called the police, who subsequently informed the forest department to help with the intruder.
Deputy ranger Jagritsingh Jhala and his team successfully captured the crocodile after two hours of hard work. The officials then released the reptile in the Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary.
