Malala Yousafzai, who in 2012 was shot in the head by the Pakistani Taliban after campaigning for girls' rights to education, attended her first lecture at the University of Oxford on Monday. The youngest-ever Nobel laureate is studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the prestigious university in the UK. Tweeting a photo of her books, Ms Yousafzai wrote: "Five years ago, I was shot in an attempt to stop me from speaking out for girls' education. Today, I attend my first lectures at Oxford." Within just 12 hours, the tweet has been 'liked' over 6.4 lakh times and retweeted over 2 lakh times.
