It's not often you see someone vandalize property of some kind, record oneself in the process, post it online and have it go viral. But this resident of Wilmington, North Carolina, did exactly that when he drove off the road to deliberately run over a campaign sign for Donald Trump.
Julien Schuessler, 20, posted a video titled 'I love having a jeep sometimes' on Facebook which shows him steering his car off the road only to run down US presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign sign. His video, posted on March 15, has over 5 million views and over 1 lakh shares on Facebook.
But of course, posting a video like this has its consequences. After the drive-through episode, Wilmington Police tweeted alerts about first investigating the incident and then about charging Mr Schuessler.
The 20-year-old now faces multiple charges, which include hit-and-run, reckless driving, and failing to maintain lane control, according to a statement from police, reports
The Washington Post.
Interestingly, the comments on the video post say: "You're literally my favorite person ever" and call the incident "amazing".
