Hardoi: The Hardoi administration has decided to auction land owned by BSP MLA Krishna Kumar Singh alias Satish Verma after he failed to repay the bank loan.
A notice regarding auction of land, owned by the MLA in Sunasi Nath village had been issued and the exercise would be held on August 29, Revenue officials said.
The MLA, who represents Mallawan constituency in the UP legislative assembly, floated a company in 1999 for which he took a loan of Rs 10 lakh from the Cooperative Bank.
After the lawmaker failed to repay the loan, the bank filed a case against him, the officials said adding on July 10, the court issued an order in favour of the bank.
The total outstanding amount, including the interest, against the MLA was around 27 lakh and for the recovery, his 10 plots in the village would be auctioned, they said.
