The terrifying moment when a herd of angry elephants almost attacked a moped rider in Thailand's Khao Yai National Park was caught on camera on October 18. The startling footage recorded on a car's dashboard camera shows the rider literally begging the animals for mercy, for causing a racket with his bike.
According to khaoyainews.com the incident took place right after another group of noisy bikers passed through the park. The sound of another bike was probably too much for the animals. The video shows the matriarch charging at the source of the noise, as others in the herd joined it in intimidating the poor man.
Elephants are known to be relatively calm animals, but this herd was anything but. The rider and his bike were left untouched by the elephants, but the moral of the story is - mess with wildlife at your own peril.
Reports suggest motorbikes have now been completely been banned from the park.
