"They're self-appointed protectors of women walking along Marine Drive," Natasha Hemrajani says in her post.

In case you're looking for definitive proof that dogs are genuinely way, way nicer than humans, here's something wonderful.

Photographer Natasha Hemrajani recently put out a beautiful Facebook post about Mumbai's 'Vigilante Dog Squadron' that guards women walking about alone at night. "They're self-appointed protectors of women walking along Marine Drive," she says in her post, shared some 17 hours ago.

In her post, Ms Hemrajani explains that these dogs have taken it upon themselves to protect every woman who happens to be walking around Mumbai's Nariman Point area by herself. "These three come running up to any woman with tail wags and love, but bark and charge at any man / group of men who look semi shady or walk by unaccompanied by women," says Ms Hemrajani on Facebook.

She has even shared a picture of the dogs sitting around her, all cuddly and adorable, when she was on Marine Drive herself. "As soon as I sat down they formed a protective circle around me and also charged at every guy passing by who stared in my direction," she says. They only made an exception for those men who were accompanied by women. Isn't that totally great?

"I love the world a little more today and dogs forever, of course," Ms Hemrajani says on Facebook and it's hard to disagree with her on this. These dogs do put an instant smile on the face.
