American astronaut Scott Kelly is almost done with his year-in-space mission that started last year in March. The countdown for his return to earth has begun, but not before he got to celebrate a very special birthday in space. Now how many people can boast of that?
Captain Kelly, slated to return to earth next month, celebrated his 52nd birthday on February 21 on the International Space Station. Wishes have been pouring in not only for the astronaut, but also his twin, who is also part of the space mission.
In a tweet, NASA wished the astronauts twins Scott Kelly (in space) and Mark Kelly (on earth) a very happy Birthday.
Here's how the earth-bound brother wished his space-bound twin:
People can log onto the NASA website here and select a birthday card from one of the pictures clicked by Captain Kelly in space. People can add their own wishes before shooting off the message. Isn't that cool?
Now that's one birthday Captain Kelly will never forget. Here's wishing both the NASA twins a very Happy Birthday.

While Captain Scott Kelly's year-in-space is well known, his brother Mark Kelly is part of the same mission but stationed on earth. NASA hopes to compare the results from Captain Scott Kelly's time in space to that of his brother.Happy Birthday to twins @StationCDRKelly & @ShuttleCDRKelly, one on Earth and one in space: https://t.co/9VRLY1VMFb pic.twitter.com/DBqAScbp1T
