Team India will soon be Rio-bound for the Olympics and they take with them a special message from composer A R Rahman, one of the four goodwill ambassadors appointed by the Indian Olympic Association.
On Monday, Rahman posted an inspiring note addressed to the Indian contingent on Facebook - hours after they were given an official send-off.
'Nothing should stop us now,' exhorts Rahman, writing: "Remember, there is nothing which is impossible in this world if you put your mind and energy to it. The most important thing is to be persistent and consistent and to never give up."
In urging India's finest towards excellence, double Oscar-winner Rahman invoked his own example. "Once upon a time, I thought that it was an impossible task for an Indian to get an Oscar or a Grammy, but time proved that it was possible and that is a testament for what can be achieved with passion and quality," he wrote.
India is sending its largest ever Olympic contingent to Rio - the 121 athletes include 54 women.
Rahman's fellow ambassadors are actor Salman Khan, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and shooter Abhinav Bindra, who brought India its first individual Olympic gold at the 2008 Beijing Games.
