Though he was the second man to land on the moon, Buzz Aldrin had his share of firsts as well.
In his autobiography 'No Dream Is Too High' released earlier this year, the NASA astronaut has revealed, "Neil (Armstrong) took one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind; I took one small step for man and one giant leak for mankind."
According to Mr Aldrin, 86, the first thing he did after the historic landing on the moon on July 21, 1969, was to empty the urine bags. Saturday is the 47th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11 from the US.
In the highly-cramped conditions of a spacecraft, astronauts today use 'maximum absorbency garments' to attend to their natural ablutions, but in the Apollo-era astronauts used urine collection devices.
Although Neil Armstrong was first man to step on the moon, most of the pictures Apoll 11 mission it is Buzz Aldrin who is seen as his colleague was holding the camera.
"Look for opportunities, not obstacles," Mr Aldrin, who was rejected the first time he applied to be an astronaut, writes in his book.
In the book, Mr Aldrin says, "Sky is not the limit. The moon has foot prints and I made some of them. Do do not let anyone denigrate or inhibit your lofty aspirations."
