BJP candidate from the city Satish Mahana has assets worth Rs eight crore but no car in his name.
Mahana, a five time BJP MLA from Kanpur Cantt seat and a former state minister in UP government, has agricultural land worth Rs 5.30 crore according to the affidavit submitted by him on Thursday.
Interestingly, when Mahana contested the last polls he had property worth Rs 3.72 crore.
He has property at Kanpur's Lal Bangla worth Rs 20.58 lakh, Rs 21.37 lakh at Mall Road, Rs 16.75 lakh at Kidwai Nagar, Rs 3.35 lakh in Lucknow.
As far as the details of his immovable assets are concerned, Mahana has shown that he possess a house in Ghaziabad worth Rs 26.97 lakh and Gurgaon worth Rs 32 lakh. While Anita Mahana, wife of Satish Mahana, has building both commercial and residential to a tune of Rs 47.61 lakh, the affidavit disclosed.
The Mahana's get an yearly rent of Rs 12.80 lakh from these property, it added.
Anita also has jewellery worth Rs 8,94,000 and bank deposits worth Rs 1,60,000 and Rs 18 lakh as shares.
However, Mahana has in his affidavit said that he does not possess any car but has an old truck which is worth Rs 50,000 only.
