Hema Malini, 68, had performed her popular dance drama 'Draupadi' in Patna on October 25.
It's well-known now Lalu Yadav is a fan of Hema Malini - he brought her up during campaign speeches and even named one of his daughters after her.
The actor-politician's show in Bihar's Patna on Tuesday again brought out the fanboy in the former Chief Minister.
After a recital of her popular dance drama "Draupadi" in Patna on Tuesday, Ms Malini thanked Mr Yadav and his family profusely. "All of them showered so much affection on me-I was truly touched," Ms Malini said.
Mr Yadav tweeted back in his characteristic humour, saying: "Pyar do pyar lo... chhotta sa jeevan hai."
What's even more interesting is how Mr Yadav comments that they're both always in the news. Could it be a cleverly veiled hint at his legendary one-liner about making the roads of Bihar "as smooth as Hema Malini's cheeks"?
Twitter had some very fascinating reactions to Mr Yadav's tweet:
