Rare footage of a cricket match between some of the most famous Hindi film actors of the Sixties is doing the rounds on social media and it's nothing short of pure gold.
The black and white video, re-packaged to the IPL theme, shows a packed cricket ground full of spectators watching Team Raj Kapoor playing Team Dilip Kumar. The players on the field include Shashi Kapoor, Sunil Dutt, Johnny Walker, Jeevan, Mehmood, Shubha Khote, IS Johar and many others - all fielding, batting and bowling against one another.
Pitch action includes the actors-turned-players fooling around, chasing each other down the field, downing cold drinks and eating ice cream while enjoying the match. According to the description of the video on Facebook, the match was played to collect funds for drought relief in Maharashtra - possibly in 1962 at Shivaji Park.
For any fan of the glory days of the Hindi film industry, this video will make for a spectacular watch. Since being posted on Facebook on April 25, it has almost 500 shares.
