Just a few months ago, business tycoon Anand Mahindra left Twitter impressed with a post from his WhatsApp Wonderbox about a 'shoe doctor'. Mr Mahindra had tweeted a picture of a cobbler who he said "should be teaching marketing at the Indian Institute of Management." He even asked his team to find the well-advertised cobbler's shop and offered to help in any way he'd like. Narsi Ram from Haryana had refused money but requested for a new workspace. Now, Mr Mahindra has shared an update about a specially designed kiosk for the 'shoe doctor'. It looks so good, people on Twitter are both impressed and inspired.
In a tweet posted some three hours before writing this, Mr Mahindra tweeted a video showing the new kiosk. It even says 'Zakhmi Jooton Ka Hospital' and Dr Narsi Ram in Hindi on its banner.
Remember the cobbler Narsi Ram with the innovative banner 'Zakhmi Jooton Ka Hospital?' Our team had contacted him & conveyed my interest to invest in him.He said he wanted a good kiosk. This is what our Design studio in Mumbai came up with:Great work guys! Will be delivered soon pic.twitter.com/wDgKDPoeHr

Since being posted, the tweet has collected over 4,000 'likes' and more than 1,000 retweets. People on Twitter are quite impressed with the gift.
"Great and admire your zest in helping people," says one Twitter user. "Superb sir. Great initiative. Thanks a ton," says another.
One Twitter user was so taken with this idea, he offered to do the same for a cobbler in his city.
We have one in Kota as well and he is indeed a Doctor in repairing shoes, would show him this video and help him in getting a kiosk like this one. Thanks for sharing the idea, Sir.

An idea welcomed by Mr Mahindra who replied to the tweet.
What a nice thought. If someone in every town could help their local cobblers upgrade their stalls..they would be better off & the visual environment would improve...Happy to share the blueprint of our design... https://t.co/i29kx90dji

It was on April 17 when Mr Mahindra had first tweeted about the 'shoe doctor' and asked people for help finding him.
Got it on whatsapp. No clue who or where he is or how old this pic is. If anyone can find him and he's still doing this work I'd like to make a small investment in his 'startup'. https://t.co/A8kdJTvAN1

Within two weeks, he shared an update on Twitter.
Recall my tweet about Narseeji, the cobbler? Our team in Harayana met him&asked how we could help.A simple&humble man.Instead of asking for money,he said he needed a good workspace. I asked our Design Studio team from Mumbai to design a kiosk that was functional&yet aesthetic.(1/2) pic.twitter.com/Oefr69yAy1

He not only tweeted about getting the workplace done for the cobbler, he also asked Twitter for inputs on how best to design the kiosk.
They flew down to meet him&produced these ideas. We would be delighted to get your inputs on the analysis & approaches & which you prefer. We want to design something that enhances the pavement aesthetic & hopefully create a template for roadside vendors..(2/2) pic.twitter.com/bNRB9bkJOi

Well, Anand Mahindra has kept his word. We wonder how Dr Narsi Ram will react to his new workplace. Guess, we'll just have to wait and watch.
