There are so many videos flooding the internet in which a camera captures individuals fumbling for words when asked basic questions about our country. People don't seem to know answers to basic general knowledge questions, words to the National Song or who Mary Kom and Baichung Bhutia are.
So if you're tired of watching the educated make fools of themselves, you need to see this video shared by Salman Khan on his official Facebook page. Chances are you've already seen it, but when Bhai tells you "Yeh Dekho", you have to, well, dekho.
Meet two-year-old Umaira who knows more about our country than all those stuttering people (combined) in the videos mentioned above (and that's not even a proper comparison).
The pint-sized wonder zaps us with her knowledge and the pace at which she answers one question about India after another.
Q: When did India get Independence?
Ans: 15 August, 1947
Q: What are the colours of the flag?
Ans: Orange, white, green, blue with the chakra in the middle.
(She also tell us what each colour stands for.)
Q: What is the National Anthem?
Ans: Jana Gana Mana
Q: What is the National Emblem of India?
Ans: It has four lions.
Q: And what is written on it?
Ans: Satyamev Jayate
And she goes on and on answering even tougher questions. Like what Bhagat Singh and Lal Bahadur Shastry said and who the first President and Prime Minister of the country were. (You must watch out for when she's asked who owns Kingfisher.)
Watching this kid's Q&A session is a GK lesson in itself. Those who know the answers, prepare to be amazed and those who don't... well, you just might learn something worthwhile.
