Scoring Off a Tennis Legend, Priceless: The Boy Who Bested Roger Federer

An exhibition match between tennis stars Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov at the BNP Paribas Showdown gave spectators more than they bargained. 'Fedex' and the former 'Baby Fed' were playing at the Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

The two top-ranked tennis players - Federer currently stands second in the ATP world rankings while Dimitrov holds the eleventh spot - held the attention of on-lookers with thrilling sets. But the loudest cheer went to someone else.

The star of the match was neither Fedex nor Dimitrov but a young boy who climbed onto the court from the crowd. He borrowed Dimitrov's racquet and took up position against Federer like he meant business.

And it was business that he took care of, rather neatly. The unidentified boy targeted a lob against the Swiss tennis legend and scored a point, putting the crowd on its feet and sending it into a frenzy of cheering.

Federer bit his shirt in mock-embarrassment and gave the camera a sheepish smile. Dimitrov was overjoyed. He even congratulated the budding tennis star before continuing the match, which he went on to win.

Federer retweeted the video last night on Twitter. His way of acknowledging the boy's feat? We guess so.
