In a heart-stopping moment at a display of aerial pyrotechnics, two planes scraped each other mid-flight at the Aero India show in Bengaluru. Both planes landed safely and nobody was hurt. The mid-air daredevilry was courtesy the aerobatic team Flying Bulls.

Here are five facts about the wizards behind the spectacle in the sky:

1. The Flying Bulls, owned by Red Bull, started with a team of four pilots. Two more pilots joined later to form a separate 'Flying Duo.'

2. The leader of The Flying Bulls is woman pilot Radka Machova, an ex-member of the Czech national aerobatics team. Her co-pilots are also from the Czech Republic.

3. The Flying Bulls execute a particularly famous manoeuvre called the 'Mirror Flight' in which two planes fly very close together, one in the normal position and the other flying 'head down.'

4. The pilots say their favourite flying locations are close to water - sea, lakes or rivers.

5. The Flying Bulls, who also flew at the 2013 Aero India airshow, say temperature, humidity and visibility are important factors that affect their performance.
