Conspiracy theorists will never tire of looking for and apparently finding smoking guns that appear to prove alien life exists and is coming for mankind. This time, they've found an actual gun (or its lookalike) on the Red Planet.
According to Streetcap1, a YouTube channel that posts several videos related to allegedly extraterrestrial phenomena, this picture clicked by NASA shows a handgun and remains of a damaged spacecraft on Mars. A blog called UFO Sightings Daily agrees, calling it one of the channel's "top 10 discoveries".
"This is a Mars Opportunity Rover photo from sol 3773. I have to admit... it's incredible. This is definitely one of his all-time top ten discoveries of Streetcap1. This gun is about 1 foot long," says the blog. "I guess this is why NASA built the rovers, to find alien technology and scan it and possibly retrieve it at a later date. The rover took this photo on September 2014. The exact location of the gun is at SOL 3773 which is between Mt Edgecumbe and Wdowiak Ridge," it says about this "find".
It does appear to be somewhat handgun-shaped. Does it look like just a rock to you? Sshhh...
Internet, let's wait for NASA to weigh in before jumping the gun. Especially considering this isn't the first of such "finds". About a year ago, social media convinced itself there was life on other planets in the form of a crab on Mars and a woman on Venus.
