Someone Just Gave the Da Da Ding Ad a Makeover and It's Really Impressive
"Dedicated to the women who have been doing it anyway, for centuries," says the video
About a fortnight ago, a Nike commercial featuring actor Deepika Padukone and 10 Indian sportswomen thrilled social media. Now, someone on the Internet has given the video a drastic makeover and this one too will leave you extremely impressed.

The Da Da Ding ad hoped to break gender-related stereotypes by showing female athletes training for their respective sports, proving it isn't just a man's world. Taking the message about empowerment a notch higher, the new version shows women from rural backgrounds fighting a similar fight on a daily basis.

The video shows just how hard these women work every day - some filling large containers with water for their households, some walking their kids to school, some ploughing the fields, and still others porting people's luggage at the railway station.

"Dedicated to the women who have been doing it anyway, for centuries. Without appreciation, without support, often, in very difficult conditions. With great co-operation," says the maker on YouTube, adding, "definitely without shoes that cost more than what they earn in a month."

We think that the women in Nike's original ad and those in this remade version are equally incredible, with or without the expensive shoes.
