Sudarsan Pattnaik's Intricate Sand Sculpture For Dhanteras Is Stunning

It's no secret that Sudarsan Pattnaik's sand art is always awe-inspiring, but this time, for Dhanteras, he has outdone himself. Dhanteras marks the beginning of the festival of Diwali and is considered to be one of the most auspicious days for Hindus. It is believed that Dhanteras marks the day Goddess Lakshmi came out from the ocean of milk during the churning of the sea. This year, Dhanteras falls on October 17. Sudarsan Pattnaik's sand sculpture shows Goddess Lakshmi and is created on the Puri beach in Odisha.
