External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is immensely popular on Twitter, what with her being tweeple's go-to person in times of crises. So it's unsurprising that anybody she's blocked on Twitter is upset at being excluded. It's not clear why Ms Swaraj blocked them but they seem to have found someone to complain about this to. The person they have turned to for redress is Sushma Swaraj's husband, Swaraj Kaushal. It appears that his sense of Twitter humour is equal to hers.
The former Mizoram Governor has been hilariously replying to those requesting him to help get Ms Swaraj to unblock them on Twitter.
It all started late last night when Mr Kaushal replied to a tweet from a user who was blocked, then unblocked by him. "His wife has already blocked me for reasons unknown. And now he is doing this!" the user said in his tweet.
It was probably this tweet that opened the floodgates for more 'blocked' people to put in their requests. Mr Kaushal had replies - very funny ones - for everyone.
And because Mr Kaushal was responding to everyone so promptly, several wondered if it was in fact him tweeting from the account. He had his answers ready.
Several others praised Mr Kaushal's for his sense of humour. He responded to even those.
This one tweet, however, wins hands down.
Aww... so sweet.
We'll have to wait and watch to see if these requests have any lasting impact on the couple's respective Twitter followers.
Sushma Swaraj was recently discharged from hospital, where she received a kidney transplant.
