'Thang Hoog Hats'? Shashi Tharoor's Typo Has Twitter Going 'Hain?'

Autocorrect strikes again

'Thang Hoog Hats'? Shashi Tharoor's Typo Has Twitter Going 'Hain?'

Shashi Tharoor's funny typo has Twitter scratching its head.

Shashi Tharoor and his extensive vocabulary have become the stuff of pop culture legend (remember 'exasperating farrago...'?) It comes as no surprise, then, that when he used a word on Twitter that nobody had heard of before, people immediately began to search for it in their dictionaries. This time, however, the Congress leader wasn't putting his fancy vocabulary to use, for it was simply a typo.

Mr Tharoor's hilarious typo was seen in a tweet on the film 'Padmavati'. The tweet was shared by him on November 13. In his tweet, he wrote 'thang Hoog hats' instead of what he actually intended - 'than ghoonghats'- thanks to autocorrect.

Mr Tharoor immediately corrected himself

However, by that time, many on Twitter were already wondering what 'thang Hoog hats' meant.

Many also wondered if thang hoog hats would become the new covfefe

This, of course, is not the first time that the curse of autocorrect has plagued celebs. In October this year, author Chetan Bhagat blamed autocorrect for a grammatical error. More recently, actor Mahira Khan shared a hilarious screenshot showing how she and her mom became victims of autocorrect.
