A handbag is that bit of baggage without which we'd be as lost as Red Riding Hood, once was. And while that statement is a downright exaggeration, it is however true that a woman's handbag carries enough goodies to last the apocalypse.
Alright. Fine. FINE. That too is an exaggeration, but one cannot deny that if there weren't any handbags we'd all look like mommy kangaroos, with pockets the size of a newborn calf. Which obviously makes us wonder why handbag manufacturers haven't had the good sense to make some of these revolutionary changes:
1. How about giving us a pepper spray holder? Unless of course someone thinks that the sight of an exposed pepper spray bottle is also 'invitation' for trouble.
2. In-built cell phone chargers which can run on battery. How crazy awesome would that be? No more running around for a plug point like a headless turkey during Thanksgiving. As long as you have your handbag, you can charge your phone. Okay, this is no longer a request. Let's find a way to make this a reality?
3. A sleek holder for pens, kohl pencils, liners, lipsticks, whathaveyounots. You know you want it. We know we do.
4. A supremely loud creep alarm or buzzer. You know, like a doorbell but installed in our handbags. So in case you're being stalked or if you're getting unwanted attention in a crowded bus, you can set it off.
5. This one goes out to all those guys who've tried to find things inside their girlfriend/wife's handbags and stand defeated till date. How about a bag that lights up when you open it? Like the Star Wars Lightsaber, light shall shine from within and save the lives of many a hapless soul.
If we're going to pay a bomb for our handbags, why not get something that makes us feel a bit like 007?
