The Internet's Stumped Over This Real Life Cupboard Crisis. Can You Help?

The Internet's Stumped Over This Real Life Cupboard Crisis. Can You Help?
What would you do if you were in this situation?
To be or not to be isn't the question here. This is an existential crisis of a whole other sort - to open the crockery cupboard or not to open the crockery cupboard.

A photo shared on a Taiwan-based Facebook page has left several people scratching their heads for a possible solution. The problem? The picture shows a glass cabinet of china bowls and plates fighting against the forces of gravity. The only thing stopping them from falling out and smashing into a million smithereens is the glass pane of the cabinet.

According to several media reports, the post was first shared by Facebook user Tseng Shao-Tsen who got the picture from his friend, who was looking for a solution to her problem.

So what would you do if you were in this situation? Facebook seems extremely interested in this crisis. Since the photo was shared on November 13, it has collected over 16,000 reactions and almost 500 comments.

While one Facebook user recommended placing thick quilts below the cabinet as a precaution, another suggested opening the cupboard from the other side.

"Just break the glass where the plates are not in contact with it and use your hands to move the plates. The glass must be cheap," said one commenter.

Someone even suggested selling the entire cabinet as a piece of art.

According to Mail Online, the cupboard was eventually opened safely. "She opened one door slightly and used her hand to hold the plates, then she pushed the door further," Tseng Shao-Tsen told Mail Online about his friend. "All plates were safe." Phew...

We do wish there was a video of this huge save, though.
