Is Queen Elizabeth II a Game of Thrones fan? It sure seems so. It wasn't long ago when the 88-year-old monarch toured the set of the hit HBO series with her husband the Duke of Edinburgh. (She declined sitting on the Iron Throne but did receive a miniature model as a gift.)
Now it's the Queen's Guards who seem to have taken a fancy to the show. Tourists outside the Buckingham Palace were in for a surprise when the guards broke into the Game of Thrones theme song during the changing of the guard ceremony.
While they try (and succeed) to keep the haunting tone of the tune alive, you cannot stop yourself from being all excited.
The theme song has been covered so many times; it's hard to keep track. However, this rendition really tops the charts.
