What's the one thing that can make a winter's night out camping more fun? Roasting some delicious and spongy marshmallows over a flaming hot bonfire. But how about taking this fun little activity to the NEXT LEVEL?
Meet Simon Turner who chose to sear his marshmallows over an active volcano. Yes, we gasped too.
Call it adventure or call it stupidity but Simon from New Zealand along with colleague Bradley Ambrose decided to make their trip to a lava lake inside Marcum Crater in Ambrym, Vanuatu more memorable. So they took some beers and a pack of marshmallows to enjoy at the spectacular 'lake-side'.
"He used a spare tent peg which he took with him on the 400m deep descent towards the lava lake..." says the descriptor on YouTube.
While Simon enjoyed his incredible 'picnic', friend Bradley filmed the whole scene. And in case you're wondering, the temperature around the area was above 2000F which is about 1100 degrees Celsius.
We're sure Simon (like Dr. Sheldon Cooper) enjoyed his smores and then enjoyed them s'more. Take a look at the insanely awesome video below:
