This picture of Bhutan's King Jigme Wangchuck is currently trending on Facebook.
He trended earlier this year after planting over one lakh trees to celebrate the birth of his son and now, Bhutan's King Jigme Wangchuck has found social media fame once again. This time it's because of a photo of His Highness chopping vegetables to help prepare a meal for students of the Community School in the town of Mongar.
In a huge lesson in both humility and humanity, Bhutan's Druk Gyalpo or 'Dragon King' is pictured subverting royal protocol and slicing onions and chillies.
The photograph was tweeted by Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Enterprises, on May 19 and has since been retweeted and reposted several times on Twitter and Facebook. The King's picture is currently the most trending topic on Facebook, as more and more people online are sharing the photo.
It's important to remember that this is the same country that uses the concept of 'Gross National Happiness' to measure and encourage the happiness quotient among citizens.
