#ThrowbackThursday: Rahul Dravid, Before he Became 'The Wall'

He may have retired his bat and pads a while ago, but Rahul Dravid will always be the great 'Wall' ofIndia. We found this beautiful throwback video which is a tribute to the cricketer and his game. And we have his mother to thank for it.

The video traces the Padma Bhushan awardee's cricket journey - right from his earliest encounter with the sport to his first success as a player for the country - represented through a scrapbook maintained by his mother. What's even better is that it's Rahul Dravid himself narrating his own story.

The video throws light on many aspects of the former cricketer's early life. "I hero-worshipped my father and grew curious about this game that he loved so much," he says. He goes on to talk about his school, other sports he played, his mother's delicious chutney sandwiches, his coaches, and his scooter.

If you are a Dravid fan, chances are you've seen this video before. That shouldn't, however, stop you from watching it all over again. And for those who haven't, consider this a treat for those who miss their favourite player's presence on the field.
