You book a cab and the driver cancels, but you're the one stuck with paying the cancellation fee: This is a scenario that regular cab-takers in India are all too familiar with. So when it happened to one man in Gurgaon, he resorted to humour instead of complaining about it - and was amply rewarded for it (if your definition of ample is two samosas).
On October 21, Abhishek Asthana booked an Ola ride to the airport for himself and his brother, but his driver cancelled the ride- while he was forced to pay the cancellation fee. He posted about the incident on Twitter with a hilarious analogy:
While the cab company reversed the charges, they also went one step ahead:
Yes, they actually sent Mr Asthana and his brother two samosas for their troubles:
While many appreciated Ola's response, others felt that Mr Awasthy could have gotten a better deal with a different analogy:
But at least now you know what to do the next time your driver cancels your ride!
