NEW DELHI: A dramatic video circulating on social media shows a truck dragging along a wrecked car across a California highway after a collision between the two. The video, most likely recorded on a camera phone, shows the car's driver waving for help, requesting someone to get the truck stopped. Since being shared on April 20 by Facebook user Brian Steimke, the video has collected over six million views so far.

According to Los Angeles Times, the truck dragged the car along for nearly a mile (1.6 kilometers) across the San Bernardino County freeway. The truck, carrying two lorries filled with 50,000 pounds of carrots, was reportedly changing lanes when it collided with the car. The truck driver apparently didn't realise he was dragging along the car.

"He's not stopping," the car's driver can be heard saying in the video as Mr Steimke passes by the wrecked vehicle. The truck was eventually stopped by other cars that halted in front of it.

"Why were you driving so far?" Mr Steimke can be heard asking the truck driver, who says he didn't know the car was lodged underneath his truck.

Neither the car's driver nor the truck driver was hospitalised, the California Highway Patrol told Los Angeles Times.

Along with six million views, the video has also received over one lakh shares on Facebook. Take a look at the video below:
