Twitter Goes To Town Wondering #IfSuperheroesWereIndian

Perhaps inspired by the roaring success of Baahubali or the new trailer for the 2016 film Batman vs Superman, or maybe even the spectacular success of Indians at Wimbledon this season, Twitter exploded today with renditions of superheroes - if they were Indian.

While some billed legendary Indian cricketers as the desi Fantastic Four, others posted Marvel's Avengers caught urinating in public.

A series of illustrations by Delhi-based artist Raj Kamal, which became viral last year, were also re-circulated. The artist imagines Flash as a dabbawalaha tearing through streets of Mumbai delivering lunch and Spider-Man as a  'Punjabi who is naughty".
