UK siblings with combined age of 855 years world's oldest family

London: Eleven siblings in the UK with a collective age of 855 years may be the oldest family in the world.

The Brudenell siblings from Middlesbrough, UK, are aged between 68 and 89, and with a combined age of 855, they are eligible for the title of the 'oldest' family in the world.

According to the Guinness World Records committee, it does not know of any other
group born to the same parents with a higher collective age, the 'Daily Express' reported.

The five brothers and six sisters are Robert, 68, John, 69, Jean, 71, Marion, 74, James, 76, Vincent, 78, May, 79, Mary, 80, Winifred, 83, William, 88, and Bernadette, 89. "It feels great. We are all still as close as when we were kids," Jean said.

The mother of the siblings had died aged 89 in 1991 while their father passed away in 1975 at the age of 72. The couple had 13 children. One son died at 15 months,
while another passed away at 70.

The surviving siblings have 43 offspring between them, the report said. According to the Guinness committee, "the highest combined age we have is nine siblings with a total of 828 years. We would welcome an application from the Brudenell family."
