The viral footage has been captured by Jaieden Ace Shen, and shared by Storyful.

In the now viral video, the cute hamster can be seen nibbling on snacks in her cute pink blanket while her owner gives her a head massage.

Shen, who is based in Singapore's Sembawang district, captures videos of his spoiled hamsters and posts them on his Hamstars YouTube channel, which has over 160,000 followers.

A research recently became popular on the internet which talked about a gene-editing experiment on hamsters. The team of neuroscientists that carried out the research was left "really surprised" after the experiment, which turned the docile creatures into "aggressive" monsters.

The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

According to a press release on the study, scientists used CRISPR-Cas9, a technology that allows scientists to switch genes on or off in cells. The technique disabled a vasopressin receptor, a hormone linked to increased aggressiveness.
