The incident took place in the Matwada Lal village of Chhattisgarh's Kanker district where bears have been spotted loitering in residential areas of late, causing fear among the locals. This time, the bear made its way inside the boundary of the house during the day. It further tried to enter the house when Mr Sahu alerted his dog and chased off the animal.
This isn't the first time a dog has taken on a relatively larger and more ferocious animal. Earlier, a video was shared on Twitter where a dog scares away a leopard. In the clip, the dog is seen resting on a road when a leopard emerges from the bushes and tries to pounce on it. Instead of fleeing the spot, the dog proceeds to furiously bark at the leopard while continuing to stand there. This leaves the leopard with no other option but to go back into the jungle.
