"NOPE! NOPE! AND N-O-P-E!" begins a post on Facebook. Shared by Lakeland PD, the post is accompanied with a video showing an officer removing a five foot long snake from a power plant. The video is so anxiety-inducing, "NOPE!" seems to be the most apt reaction for it.
According to the post, Lakeland PD in Florida, US, received a 911 call about an "unwanted guest at the My Lakeland Electric McIntosh Power Plant". They were informed that a potentially dangerous female snake was hiding under a staircase at the plant.
"Our team knew the perfect Officer for the job. Off-duty Officer Scott Wisneski responded to the scene with grasping tongs in hand," says the Facebook post. The officer found a healthy rattlesnake. The video shows him using a pair of tongs to pick up the snake and put it away.
The snake was later sent to a local handler to check if it can be used to create anti-venom. "She might be able to help save someone else's life one day," Officer Wisneski said according to the Facebook post.
Turns out this wasn't Officer Wisneski's first rodeo, who has extensive experience handling snakes and other animals.
"I need to recruit him to check my attic," says one Facebook user on the video. "That's definitely not a nope nope nope... that's a definite OH HELL NAW! lol good job!" says another.
