Joe Biden tweeted his support to 'Veep' star Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
About 12 hours ago, actor Julia Louis-Dreyfus, 56, revealed in a statement on Twitter that she is battling breast cancer. Among the outpouring of support she received, perhaps the sweetest tweet came from the former vice president of USA, Joe Biden. "We Veeps stick together. Jill and I, and all of the Bidens, are with you, Julia," he wrote, along with a picture of him and Julia walking down a hallway.
She responded with a tweet of her own
Julia Louis-Dreyfus has starred in the massively popular sitcom Seinfeld. She is perhaps best known for her role as the American vice president Selina Meyer in the hit political comedy Veep.
However, what makes Joe Biden's tweet to her even more meaningful is that Biden lost his son Beau to brain cancer in 2015. Through his organisation, the Biden Foundation, and The Biden Cancer Initiative, he has long been a champion for better cancer care and research.
Julia also announced called for universal health care while announcing her diagnosis. "Let's all fight cancer and make universal health care a reality," she wrote in her tweet that has been 'liked' over 3.7 lakh times.
