It had the making of a pot boiler. Ugly outfits, strange hairdos and even a bit where old friends unite. But the 57th annual Grammy Awards which concluded at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 8 was much more than just that. We've listed why this Grammy was absolutely epic:
1. Rihanna is a woman of her words. Someone who lives her songs. There was proof of that on the 57th Grammy Awards red carpet (oh-yeah!). In 2008, her song 'Umbrella' earned her a Grammy and this year, her dress had us reminiscing.
If god had to choose a background track for her Grammy appearance, it would certainly be this-

6. A shoutout to Katy Perry for her performance and the message she carried with it.
A video message from US President Barack Obama opened Perry's act and she added meaning to it with the ballad 'By the Grace of God'. Their message: Domestic violence is not OK.
7. And perhaps that's why, men should take a cue from Jay Z on how to treat their girl right and stand by her. You've got to see Beyonce's Instagram post.
8. Sam Smith was the star winner of the night, taking home awards for best 'Record Of The Year', 'New Artist', 'Song Of The Year' and 'Pop Vocal Album'. He accepted the awards with an amazing thank you speech and awesome Instagram posts- all dripping euphoria.
9.Prince redefined swag at the do in his shiny orange outfit. On Twitter he was referred to as 'baby carrot'. (To read more, click here)
