Actress Deepika Padukone provided the most adorable moment of the evening at the Femina Beauty Awards on February 5 - in absentia.
Deepika, 30, was named 'Woman of the Year' but was unable to collect her award because she is currently in Canada shooting xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, her much talked-about Hollywood debut with actor Vin Diesel. So rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh went up on stage on her behalf and boy, was he the definition of cute.
"Wow, woman of the year..." said Ranveer, acting out Deepika's probable reaction to the award. His imitation of the actress was enough to make the audience roll with laughter and burst into deafening applause.
Once the clapping and cheering stopped, Ranveer went on to say some amazing things about his Bajirao Mastani co-star. "To be honest, woman of the year - I am really, really, really proud of her. She's a lovely girl. She's so grounded in spite of experiencing staggering success," he said, as a few giggles cut him short.
"It's not funny," Ranveer made it clear, "I'm serious," he added holding up Deepika's award. Ranveer and Deepika also happened to win the award for the 'Best On-Screen Couple' at the show.
We're sure the little moment made even Deepika LOL. Take a look:
