  • The anecdote touched a chord with social media who began sharing the pic
As David Cameron made an emotional speech, his last as the British Prime Minister moments before tendering his resignation to the Queen, it was another Cameron who stole the attention. This little scene-stealer was none other than the former premier's younger daughter, Florence Rose Endellion Cameron.

While thanking his family during his speech, the departing Prime Minister recalled how Florence, now five, once climbed into a red ministerial box and asked to go along with him on a foreign trip.

Mr Cameron said: "They sometimes kick the red boxes full of work. Florence - you once climbed into one, before a foreign trip, and said, 'Take me with you.'"

"No more boxes," he added before thanking his wife Samantha for keeping him "vaguely sane" during his tenure as the British Prime Minister.

The heartwarming speech, especially the beautiful anecdote, touched a chord with social media, who began sharing the lovely picture of little Florence sitting in her dad's red box.

Florence is now all grown up and is unlikely to fit into daddy's boxes any longer.

All Twitter could talk about was how sweet she looked as Daddy Cameron made his final speech:

Florence is the youngest of David and Samantha Cameron's four children. The family have now moved out of 10 Downing Street, their home for the last six years, and into a new home in Holland Park, reports The Telegraph.
