Chester's message and adorable face has tugged at the heart strings of many people.
In a big win for social media, a lonely doggie found himself a loving home after his heart-melting photos went viral on Facebook.
Six-year-old Chester, a Pitbull-mix, had been looking for a family to call his own for about five years. His friends at the North Fork Animal Welfare League adored him and helped him set up his own Facebook page to help in his adoption. And in no time at all, this touching picture of Chester posted on the page was being circulated online.

Chester's tear-jerking message and adorable face tugged at the heart strings of many potential companions, as plenty of loving comments poured in. Among those who saw the picture were also Chester's new family.
"Thursday morning, I was getting ready for work, and I checked my Facebook really quick," Dor told today.com. "My girlfriend, in Michigan, had posted Chester's picture from the shelter. ... The following morning, we drove over and met him, and it was just fantastic. We were looking for an older dog, and it was just perfect. It was like he was waiting for us, like, 'Where have you been?"
And just like that, Chester found his forever home.
The family shared some more pictures of Chester, all happy and comfortable in his new home.
And overjoyed to be among his family members who welcomed him with open arms and loving hearts.
Chester is now using his page and popularity to help his friends from the shelter find their own forever homes.
